Our Services

Support built around real lives.

Every situation is different, and we recognise that. Whether you are looking for a little help at home, specialist support for a complex condition, or regular companionship for someone who is spending too much time alone, we are here to listen and help you think through what may be most helpful. Take a look at what we offer and get in touch if you have any questions.

Sometimes daily life needs a little more support. Our home care service is for people who want to stay at home and live as independently as possible, with some help alongside them. Whether that is help getting up and dressed in the morning, a little company during the day, or support with meals and medication, we will build a plan around the person, not around a fixed menu of tasks.

What home care covers

  • Personal care including washing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene support
  • Medication prompting and safe administration support
  • Mobility assistance and practical support to reduce the risk of falls
  • Meal preparation, hydration support, and nutrition monitoring
  • Light domestic tasks and household management
  • Companionship, emotional support, and social engagement
  • Accompanied outings and community activity support
  • Regular updates and open communication with family members

How support begins

  1. We start with a conversation. There is no pressure and no obligation. We want to understand the situation and what would be most helpful before we suggest anything.
  2. A member of our team visits your loved one at home to carry out a full needs assessment. This is the foundation of everything that follows, and it is done carefully, with time and without being rushed.
  3. We put together a care plan tailored to your loved one, and we match them with a carer who suits their character and daily routine. You will have the chance to meet the carer before anything begins.
  4. Once everything is in place, care can begin at a pace that feels right for your loved one and your family. We stay in close contact throughout and review the plan regularly.

If you think you may need support to be in place quickly once our service opens, please do call us. We will talk through your situation and be as honest as we can about timelines. Call 07777 627612 or email admin@healinghandshealthcare.org.uk

When someone has a more complex health condition, the level of care they need goes beyond what a standard visiting service can provide. Our complex care service is for individuals in that situation. It is designed around clinical need, delivered at home, and planned carefully with the right professional involvement from the start.

Conditions and needs we support

  • Acquired brain injury and neurological conditions including MS, MND, and Parkinson's disease
  • Ventilator dependency and tracheostomy care
  • PEG and NG tube feeding and clinical nutrition management
  • Catheter care and continence management
  • Stoma care and wound management
  • Epilepsy and seizure management protocols
  • Palliative and end-of-life care, delivered with sensitivity and dignity
  • Post-discharge reablement and recovery support

Each complex care package will be developed with the appropriate clinical and professional input for the individual's needs. Risk assessments will be thorough and kept under regular review. Carers will receive service-specific training where a package requires it, because complex needs require more than general training alone. We will work closely with GPs, district nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and hospital teams so that everyone involved remains coordinated and informed.

Complex care conversations need time and careful attention. If you would like to talk through future support for your loved one, please call us on 07777 627612 or email admin@healinghandshealthcare.org.uk and we will arrange a time to speak properly.

If you are caring for someone you love, you will know how much it takes. Respite care is there to give you a break, without feeling guilty about it. While you rest, recover, or simply take some time for yourself, your loved one continues to receive the same quality of care they are used to.

What respite care includes

  • All the personal care, medication support, and daily assistance your loved one needs
  • Continuity with their existing routines and preferences, so nothing feels disrupted
  • Clear communication with you when you return, so you know exactly how things went
  • Planned in advance or arranged at shorter notice, depending on your situation

Respite care is not a last resort. Looking after yourself is part of looking after your loved one well. We would encourage you to think about it before exhaustion sets in, and we are here to help plan it in a way that feels right for everyone.

Coming home from hospital can be a worrying time, even when it is welcome news. You want to know that your loved one will be safe, that everything is in place, and that they are not going to struggle alone in those first days back. That is what our Hospital to Home service is for.

What this service involves

We work alongside hospital discharge teams and community health professionals to understand what your loved one will need when they get home. We coordinate the right support, make sure everything is ready in advance, and stay closely involved in those early days and weeks to make sure the transition goes well. The plan is built around recovery, comfort, and your loved one's own goals.

If your loved one is due to be discharged from hospital and you want support in place, please contact us as early as you can. The more notice we have, the better we can prepare. Call 07777 627612 or email admin@healinghandshealthcare.org.uk
