Healing Hands Healthcare Limited was founded in Cardiff by Assia Askar because too many families are left feeling exhausted, uncertain, and unsupported when they try to arrange care for someone they love. Through years of experience in and around care settings, Assia saw the difference that person-centred support can make, and how deeply people are affected when that standard is missing. That understanding became the reason this company was created.
Our story
Healing Hands Healthcare Limited is being built on a simple belief: that every person who needs care at home deserves support delivered with skill, consistency, and warmth.
We are keeping the service focused by choice, because we believe good care depends on knowing people well, paying attention to what matters to them, and shaping support around real lives rather than routines on paper.
We are based in Cardiff and serve communities across the city and the Vale of Glamorgan. We are not trying to become the largest provider in Wales. We are focused on becoming one of the most trusted, building a service that families return to, recommend with confidence, and feel reassured by. We believe that trust should be earned over time through the quality of the support we provide.
As we grow, our aim is to do so without compromising the quality of the service we are building from the start. That means taking on new clients carefully, investing in our staff, and holding ourselves to the expectations we set from day one.

Why this matters
Healing Hands Healthcare Limited was created because Assia Askar cared deeply about what was happening to people who needed support, and believed something better could be built. The families she encountered, the individuals whose needs were not being met properly, and the carers doing demanding work without the right support all helped shape the company she is now building.
From the very first conversation, we want individuals to feel not only that they have found a capable provider, but that they have found people who will take the time to get things right.
We are at the beginning of something we are building with care and purpose. As Healing Hands Healthcare Limited grows, we want to be known across Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan as the provider that families call first, that professionals refer with confidence, and that carers are proud to work for. Assia Askar is the founder of Healing Hands Healthcare Limited and the Responsible Individual for the service. She brings the experience and oversight needed for the role and is closely involved in the governance, quality, and direction of the company as it grows. Her commitment to this work is personal as well as professional. She understands why good care matters, and that understanding shapes the way she is building the company.
Mark Rees is the Registered Manager for Healing Hands Healthcare Limited and brings more than 20 years of experience in health and social care. His background includes direct care delivery, clinical leadership, and senior operational management. He has also previously served as a Responsible Individual, giving him strong practical insight into regulated care from both operational and governance perspectives.
Mark holds Level 5 in Leadership for Health and Social Care. He is leading the development of the operational foundations of Healing Hands Healthcare Limited with experience, steadiness, and a clear understanding that good management is reflected in the quality of care experienced by the person at home.

Healing Hands Healthcare Limited operates to the standards expected of regulated care providers in Wales. Before support begins for any client, we put the right foundations in place: safer recruitment, proper induction, clear safeguarding procedures, thorough care planning, and regular review.
Every member of staff is recruited carefully, enhanced DBS checked, inducted properly, and supported in their role. Care plans are built around the individual, reviewed regularly, and updated whenever circumstances change. We communicate openly with families throughout, because good care depends on trust, clarity, and consistency.
